Do I need experience to use your kits?

Not at all. Our products are beginner-friendly and come with step-by-step instructions to guide you through the process. Whether you're new to DIY beauty or a seasoned pro, our kits are designed to be simple, safe, and effective.

Can I trust the quality of your products?

Where do you ship to?

We ship all over Australia and also offer international shipping to select countries. All available shipping options, delivery times, and rates will be shown at checkout.

How long does the keratin last?

The results generally last up to 4-6 months depending on the hair type. The treatment will work better on a chemically treated hair like coloured or relaxed.

Is the keratin permanent? 

Our treatment is semi-permanent. Your original hair texture should return within 6 months of use.
Can you use the keratin treatment on coloured/chemically treated hair?

Yes, our keratin treatment will not damage the hair and can be applied to all hair types, including virgin, coloured, highlighted or permed. If you have coloured your hair, it is best to wait 2 weeks before applying the keratin treatment.
When can I wash my hair after keratin application?

Yes! our improved formula has allowed for this. however, if you have particularly unruly hair or type 4 hair (tight coils/curls or very frizzy) the treatment can be left in for up to 3 days to intensify your result.
Can I colour my hair after keratin application?

Yes, we recommend colouring hair no earlier than 2 weeks after application.
Should I massage the keratin into my hair when applying?

No, do not massage the product into your scalp with your hands. The product should not be applied directly to the scalp. Apply the product with the applicator brush, painting the product on evenly and brushing it through your hair with a comb. Apply in accordance with the instruction sheet.
Can I do the keratin treatment whilst pregnant or nursing?

No, it is not recommended.
Are the chemicals in the keratin harmful?

Our products are safe and proudly 100% formaldehyde free. Formaldehyde is a harmful chemical found in some keratin treatments. Many keratin treatment products contain formaldehyde, as it can make results last longer (up to 6 months) as the chemical is worked into the hair, breaking the bonds and resealing them in a straighter position. This can result in altering of the natural curls and waves in the hair.The health, safety and maintenance of our customers beautiful hair are our top priorities, so we have chosen not to supply products containing formaldehyde. 
Do I need to do touch ups on my whole head?

We recommend touch ups over the whole hair for maximum results, although this will depend on your individual results from initial application. If the lengths of your hair have maintained results to your likling after 3 months, touch ups may be applied to the upper hair, towards the roots. Be mindful that the product should be applied 1cm from the scalp.
How much product do I use when applying?

Evenly apply product to each section of your hair with enough product to ensure the hair is coated. Refer to the instruction sheet (included with product) and tutorial video on our website for more details.
Is it okay to use the product on coloured hair?

Yes. You can use the product on coloured hair, however, it may cause the shade to become slightly lighter, which is why we recommend colouring your hair after treatment application (no less than 2 weeks after).
Is the straightening part of treatment necessary?

Yes, it is a heat activated treatment and you will not achieve the desired result without straightening.
Do keratin treatments cause damage?

As our product is 100% formaldehyde free, this means it is a safer method to transform your hair without drastically altering your hair texture. Our product smoothens and relaxes the hair, without breaking down the hairs natural bonds.Some heat damage to hair may occur as expected, during the application process due to the repetitive use of a flatiron, although the benefit of the product is that you will be able to reduce your daily heat damage, as you your hair will be smooth and straight without the use of a flat iron!
What shampoo and conditioner should I use after the treatment?

We recommend that you use a shampoo that does not contain Sulfate and Sodium Chloride, and it also has UV protection.
Can I wear a ponytail,  clip or tie my hair after application?

No. Do not tie, clip or wear headbands in your hair until after you have washed the product out. clipping or tying your hair before washing the product out could cause a kinking effect in the final result. If you kink your hair before washing, you can even this out with a flatiron or blowdryer. 
Can I use the treatment if I have hair extensions?

Yes! a keratin treatment is a great way to bring old, frizzy extensions back to life. The treatment does wonders on all REAL HAIR extensions. You can use it on clip-ins, beads, tape and keratin bonds. With tapes and keratin bonds, just be sure not to apply product or straighten directly over the bonded area as this may cause some slipage of the bonds.

Can I use this if I’ve never laminated or tinted my brows before?

Absolutely! The Boxed Brow Bar is beginner-friendly. Our kit comes with easy-to-follow instructions, and we’ve designed it with first-time users in mind.How many uses will I get out of one kit?
Will lamination damage my brows?
Not when used correctly! Our formulas are gentle and include a nourishing oil to help condition the brow hairs after each treatment. Always follow the timing guide and use the included nourish oil to keep your brows healthy and hydrated.

Can I tint and laminate at the same time?

Yes! In fact, we recommend tinting after lamination for best results. Our instructions explain exactly when and how to do this in your treatment process.

How long does the whole process take?

The full lamination and tint takes around 25–30 minutes from start to finish.

What if I mess it up?

Don’t stress — we’ve included detailed instructions and tips to help you get it right. Plus, the results aren’t permanent, so there’s always room to refine your technique. You’ve got this!

Is the Boxed Brow Bar cruelty-free?

Yes! All of our products are 100% cruelty-free, and we’re proud to be a brand that never tests on animals.

Can I still shape or pluck my brows before/after using the kit?

Yes — you can pluck or wax before or after your lamination and tint. We recommend doing it prior to the treatment so you can see the shape better and also to prevent any sensitivity to the skin.

Can I use this if I have sparse or fine brows?

Yes! Brow lamination works wonders on sparse or fine brows by lifting and setting the hairs upward to create a fuller, fluffier appearance. Tinting also helps define light or thin brows.

Is it suitable for all hair colours?

Our tint shades are designed to suit a wide range of hair colours and can be mixed or layered for your ideal shade. For very light blondes or redheads, you may want to start with a shorter tint time using brown tint and build up gradually.

How should I care for my brows after using the kit?

Avoid getting your brows wet or applying makeup to the area for 24 hours after treatment. Use a brow oil or nourishing serum regularly to keep hairs healthy and hydrated.

How soon can I re-laminate or tint my brows?

We recommend waiting at least 6 weeks between lamination treatments and 3 weeks between tints to avoid overprocessing.

Can I use this while pregnant or breastfeeding?

We always recommend checking with your healthcare provider first. While many people use brow lamination products safely during pregnancy, hormonal changes can make your skin more sensitive, so patch testing is essential.

My skin is sensitive — can I still use the kit?

Our formula is designed to be gentle, but if you have sensitive skin, always do a patch test 24–48 hours before full application. If irritation occurs, discontinue use and consult your GP.

What if I run out of one product in the kit?
